Access Control Systems

Rekeying locks after a lost key or an employee departure gets expensive fast. An access control system gives you a record of who came in, when, and lets you shut off access instantly when you need to.

Access control replaces or supplements traditional locks with electronic entry — keycards, fobs, PIN codes or biometric readers — tied to a system you manage centrally. Tri City Tech installs and configures access control for single doors up to full multi-entrance buildings.

We'll help you decide which credential type fits your building and staff, wire and install the readers, controllers and door hardware, and set up the software so you can add or remove access without calling a locksmith.

Common questions

Access Control Systems FAQ

What's the difference between keycard and biometric access?

Keycard and fob systems use a physical or digital credential, while biometric systems use a fingerprint or similar trait. Many buildings use keycards for general entry and biometrics for higher-security rooms.

Can I manage access control from my phone?

Most systems we install offer a cloud dashboard or mobile app so you can add, remove or review access without being on-site.

Can access control work with our existing security cameras?

Yes. We regularly integrate access control events with camera footage so you can see, not just log, who used a given entry.
